VOTE: Majority of Members Present and Voting

RESULTS: PASSED (125-Yes, 4-No, 3-Abstain)


Action Item #2

COMMITTEE ON BUDGET AND FINANCE

SUBJECT: 2019 Diocesan Assessment

ACTION ITEM #2: Do the diocesan and eparchial bishops accept the recommendation of the Committee on Budget and Finance for approval of a 3% increase in the diocesan assessment for 2019 to $11,993,678?

VOTE: Two-thirds of the diocesan and eparchial bishops and their equivalents in law

RESULTS: PASSED (136-Yes, 31-No, 5-Abstain)


Action Item #3 

COMMITTEE ON DIVINE WORSHIP

SUBJECT: ICEL Gray Book: Order of Baptism of Children

ACTION ITEM #3: Do the Latin Church members approve the ICEL Gray Book translation of the Order of Baptism of Children for use in the dioceses of the United States of America?

VOTE: Two-thirds of the Latin Church members with subsequent confirmatio by the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments

RESULTS: PASSED (200-Yes, 23-No, 3-Abstain)


Action Item #4

COMMITTEE ON LAITY, MARRIAGE, FAMILY LIFE AND YOUTH

SUBJECT: Proposed Formal Statement on a Pastoral Plan for Marriage and Family Life Ministry and Advocacy in the United States

ACTION ITEM #4: Do the members wish to develop, under the lead of the Committee on Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth, a formal statement by the USCCB that would offer a renewed pastoral plan for marriage and family life ministry and advocacy in light of Amoris Laetitia?

VOTE: Majority of the members present and voting

RESULTS: PASSED (223-Yes, 12-No, 2-Abstain)

 

Action Item #5

AD HOC COMMITTEE AGAINST RACISM

SUBJECT: Addition of one staff position in service to the Ad Hoc Committee Against Racism

ACTION ITEM #5: Do the members approve the addition of one staff position in service to the Ad Hoc Committee Against Racism under the Department for Justice, Peace and Human Development, with the understanding that the approval for this position is and will remain contingent upon funding through an external grant(s)?

VOTE: Majority of the members present and voting

RESULTS: PASSED (177-Yes, 22-No, 2-Abstain)
