World Mission Sunday 2023

Every year on the second to last Sunday of October, parishes around the world observe World Mission Sunday, and a special collection is taken up to support the work of the Church in mission territories in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Europe.

This year, this collection will be taken up in many US parishes on October 22 as an expression of solidarity with our brothers and sisters in mission territories. Proceeds from this worldwide collection support the formation of priests, religious sisters, and lay missionaries who teach the faith, care for the sick, and provide for the needs of orphans, the homeless, and the poor.

Collection resources, including collection envelopes, Mass announcements, prayers, and informational bulletin inserts are available for free download at https://onefamilyinmission.org/resources/.
