John P. Molineaux

John P. Molineaux is a Computer Specialist from the Archdiocese of Washington. He is 58 and has been married to Patricia Downing for 33 years. They have two children, Margaret and Matthew, who are both on their own.

Why is John participating?
I have long been active in issues of charity and justice, and worked for some years in organizing a CCHD-funded community organizing project. I am also an experienced bicycle tourer, having crossed the country once before.

I see Brake the Cycle as an opportunity to combine these interests, challenging myself while learning about the empowerment efforts sponsored by the Church. Beyond Brake the Cycle, I see myself in transition to some form of service on a full-time basis, with this interlude as an information-gathering effort toward the eventual choice of longer-term service.

This is an opportunity for me to apply my life-long sills to servicing others, and to encouraging such service in others.
