Lyle Langlois

Lyle Langlois was born in Kansas. He was educated in parochial schools and one catholic college. Lyle obtained both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Arizona State University. He has been a Professor of Computer Info Systems at Glendale College for 31 years. He was enlistd in the US Navy during the Korean war from 1950 to 1954. Lyle was married to Alberta from 1955 to 1996. He has 6 children and 10 grandchildren. Lyle was married to Patricia from 1997 to 2002. Lyle recently married Kay Martin, who is also riding in Brake the Cycle. Both of his previous spouses are deceased.

Lyle has run a marathon in all 50 states and on 4 continents. He has cycled across the USA 3 times and in 4 other countries, including Turkey and China. Lyle has riddne approximately 13,000 miles on his bicycle in the past 4 years. He recently participated on a St Vincent de Paul mission to Cuernavaca, Mexico. Lyle is 72 years old and is currently backpacking in New Zealand and Australia.

It is a privilege to be chosen to provide education and awareness for the needs of the poor through our great nation. I was born into poverty in Kansas in 1930 and through the help of many others was blessed in many, many ways. To give back is so very essential to break the poverty cycle.
