Sarah Stolfa
 Sarah is a full time student in Pennsylvania. At 28 years old, she is the youngest of six children. Throughout her life her family has been involved with CCHD.
Why is Sarah participating?
I am participating in the CCHD sponsored Brake the Cycle Bike Tour for several reasons. The ride itself is a personal challenge and experience I have dreamt of, and to be involved with a ride with a mission beyond myself is amazing. Raising the awareness and involvement of people to the issues surrounding poverty in America is fundamental for any real social change. It is one of the underlying causes for almost all injustices. For me to be able to reach at least one person and effect their actions towards involvement is a real gift. As a photographer, for me to have the chance to record and search the American landscape geographically, socially, politically, and culturally is awesome. I'd like to not only show the plight of the everyday forgotten people of this country, but also their strength and that of those who are working alongside them. Raising people's hearts and minds is the first step for change; I want to help create that first step.
