Day 31, Tuesday
We left LaCrosse early this morning on Kansas Highway 4, which we continued on all of the way to Lindsborg. It was much warmer than it has been, and over the last few days we are beginning to experience humidity – which was a non-factor in the west. We enjoyed the rolling hills, the wheat fields, and the rabbits that scampered off as we approached. The warm weather also allowed us to indulge in squirting our water bottles at each other. About twenty miles from Lindsborg we met up with Steve Henry, who planned our route through Missouri, Kansas, and Illinois. He rode in with us and spent the evening with us. Several of us missed our turn coming into town, but we figured this out quickly when we saw a sign welcoming us to the next county.
We had an excellent dinner and event with the parishioners of St. Bridget of Sweden Parish. They were very hospitable, as all of the parishes have been.
Today also marks the halfway point on our trip. We are halfway through in terms of days and miles. We have had a wonderful trip so far. We have been blessed with the best of weather: no rain, little wind, and great temperatures. We have remained safe for the most part, and motorists have been very considerate of us. We have been welcomed warmly be all of the parishes that have hosted us. Accommodations have been wonderful, and the food has been better than you can imagine.

Special thanks to the young leaders of Hope Street Youth Development, Tijuana Hardwell, Alicia Lowery, and Lakeldra Hardwell as well as staff member Jake Lowen, who came from Wichita to share their stories and successes with the parishioners of St. Bridget and Brake the Cycle riders.
