Community Organizing Grants

In organizing programs, people work together to address the needs of their community. Poor and marginalized people are empowered by joining together to make decisions, seeking solutions to local problems and finding ways to improve their lives and neighborhoods. These organizations assist individuals to develop as community leaders and to mobilize the community's resources.

Economic Development Grants

Economic development initiatives assist poor and low income people to develop new businesses, create new jobs, and develop assets that are owned by families and communities.

Grant Type Range Funding Process Use of Funds
Economic Development Implementation Grant Up to $50,000 + Annual funding cycle
+ Funding decision in mid-June
+ General operating expenses
+ Business start up/expansion
- Not for capital expenditures
