BY MARCH 31:
  • Select your best candidate for the internship. Please ensure that you have informed your candidate about the requirement to attend the national orientation (June 3-5, 2009) and that he or she can attend. Attendance at the national orientation is required for all interns.

  • Forward that candidate’s application to the CCHD YYAC (Jill Rauh) by fax (202/541-3329) or email jrauh@usccb.org. The national office will review the candidate’s application and will notify you, within a few days, of the number of internship hours that will be funded by the national office. The national office will give preference to dioceses that have been able to secure low-income candidates. As soon as your selection is confirmed by the national office, you can confirm with your candidate.

  • Submit via mail a signed copy of the form: "Procedures for Administration of Grant to CCHD Diocesan Office for Compensation of CCHD Intern(s)" to the CCHD YYAC (Jill Rauh, CCHD, 3211 4th St. NE, Washington, DC 20017).

  • Draft a work plan, a one page outline of projects/tasks, the intern's schedule, the hours of supervision, and a schedule for completing the required readings & learning objectives in the curriculum guide, agreed to by both the intern & supervisor (see the sample form below). • Send a copy of the work plan agreed upon by both the intern and supervisor) to the national CCHD office. For School Year interns a second, updated work plan must be completed and sent to the national office by January 15.
