Journey to the Fullness of Life:
A Report on the Implementation
of the RCIA in the United States

Catholic Evangelization in an Ecumenical and Interreligious Society…An excellent resource for those working in marriage preparation, RCIA and Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations!
As Christians we are called to evangelize the world around us. However, the Second Vatican Council made it clear that we are also called to be people of dialogue, especially with people of other faiths. In a society that is ever more diverse, how can we properly dialogue with non-Roman Catholic people of faith, yet remain faithful to our mission to evangelize? This publication contains the major addresses delivered at the 2004 Convocation for Diocesan Evangelization Directors which was held in Louisville, KY. Bishop Stephen Blaire delivered the keynote on the title of this publication. Other addresses covered major concerns for Catholic Evangelization: Ecumenical Implications, Jewish Relations and, Interreligious Implications.

Thy Kingdom Come
A Manual for Evangelization Staff

Nearly all Latin-rite Catholic dioceses in the US have personnel specifically responsible for evangelization. Some have full-time staff . Others have an evangelization director who works alone. The majority rely on part-time staff, who may be volunteers or people with other professional responsibilities. Revised in 1999, this manual is the product of many hands. It casts as wide a net as possible, so Catholic evangelizers in any setting can get something of value. (5-304)

Because We Are Disciples
This inspiring 12-minute video presentation, available from USCC Publishing services, features disciples revealing their own personal insights into the meaning of Evangelization. It explores the many ways in which each person can become a disciple of God through personal community involvement and interaction. The first half of the video focuses on the sacraments and how the community within the Church grows through their celebration. The second half of the presentation teaches that the joyous message of Christ is bigger than anyone of us and must be actively spread throughout our communities. This ethnically diverse video is a powerful tool for parishes in recruiting lay people to take action in the Church and the wider community and a discussion guide assists pastoral ministers by inviting parishioners to more faithful discipleship. The essential theme of this video is that evangelization is a ministry in which all Christians can participate. (559-3) $17.95
