Published Resources
Many respondents to the Lay Survey asked where they could find books on numerous topics(e.g., prayer, spirituality, adult faith formation, catechesis). Some respondents noted that they did not live near any Catholic bookstores and would appreciate knowing how to find books via the internet.
The following resources are offered in response:
- Official Bishops' Statements
The U.S. Bishops have released statements and resources on numerous topics. These can be viewed on this website or ordered from USCCB Publishing Services.
Catholic Book Publishers Association (CBPA)
There are many excellent publishers of books, and most of these books can be ordered through the internet. A good place to begin your search for helpful materials is the CPBA website. Once you link to this webpage, click on “Publisher Members.” From there, you may click on the websites on individual publishers and browse their catalogues.

The text of the catechism is now available online. You may also order copies through this website.
