Damage -- Dreary look at the downfall of a British government minister (Jeremy Irons) whose out-of-control passion for the fiancee (Juliette Binoche) of his son (Rupert Graves) destroys several lives. Producer-director Louis Malle's dull, one-dimensional drama offers little more than the raw physical aspects of a sexually obsessive affair whose tragic consequences are emotionally barren. Explicit scenes of adulterous encounters, some nudity and occasional rough language. (O) (R) 1992
