Dangerous Moonlight -- Dated World War II tearjerker in which a Polish pianist (Anton Walbrook) fights the invading Germans as a fighter pilot, then escapes to America, performs concerts for the Polish Relief Fund and weds a wealthy supporter (Sally Gray) before enlisting in the RAF during the Battle of Britain. Directed by Brian Desmond Hurst, the movie opens with the pianist hospitalized with amnesia after his plane rams a German bomber, with the rest of the picture told in flashbacks triggered by the arrival of his wife. the Motion Picture Association of America rating, and a brief
synopsis of the movie.
The classifications are as follows:
- A-I -- general patronage;
- A-II -- adults and adolescents;
- A-III -- adults;
- A-IV**
- L -- limited adult audience, films whose problematic content many adults would find troubling. L replaces the previous classification, A-IV.
- O -- morally offensive.
** Discontinued classification. All archived movies that were originally in the A-IV category are now classified as L.
