Darker Than Amber
-- Adaptation of a John MacDonald mystery with Rod Taylor as Travis McGee up to his neck in a tangle of brutal murders that begin when he falls in love with a woman (Suzy Kendall) he tries to protect from killers. Directed by Robert Clouse, the violence and brutality goes beyond bounds of taste and restraint, as do some sex scenes. (O) (R/GP)
