Dark Eyes -- Aging philanderer (Marcello Mastroianni) shares reminiscences of his love-life unknowingly with the husband of the mysterious lover who abandoned him. Sumptuous Italian period romance from Russian director Nikita Mikhalkov is both an affectionate celebration and comic denunciation of the self-centered blindness of male chauvinism. (A-III) (nr) 1987
