Kid from Left Field, The
-- Corny sports fun directed by Harmon Jones in which the 9-year-old son (Billy Chapin) of a former baseball player (Dan Dailey) goes from bat boy to manager of a faltering major league club, bringing it out of the cellar and into pennant contention. Just the right speed for little leaguers, with enough heart for older members of the family willing to suspend their disbelief. (A-I) (br)
