Killing of a Chinese Bookie, The
-- Owner of a cheap nightclub (Ben Gazzara) undertakes a murder to pay off the gambling debt he owes gangsters. Director John Cassavetes' quest for authenticity and sponteneity takes an indecorous turn down a blind alley at the end of which one becomes sandbagged by sex and violence in a tedious drama that doesn't ring true.
