A Million Prayers Initiative

Believing in the power of prayer, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Justice for Immigrants Campaign invites you to join your voice with countless others in

A MILLION PRAYERS INITIATIVE
May 20-26, 2007.

Two things are asked . . . PRAYER and ACTION.

THE JUSTICE PRAYER . . .

  • The Justice Prayer will guide thousands of advocates as they work to influence the passage of a just and humane comprehensive immigration reform bill in the United States Congress. This legislation will affect millions of human lives—those working, paying taxes, strengthening communities, and enriching the moral fiber of our country with a brilliant resurgence of cultural diversity.
  • Share this invitation to pray with friends, family, neighbors, constituents, your U. S. Senators, and members of your faith communities, in order that immigrants throughout the United States will find justice as they continue to strengthen our country in countless ways.
ACTION . . .
  • Call your Senators . . .
Tell them to support the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ five principles for Comprehensive Immigration Reform.
  • Educate your local community . . .
. . . about the Justice for Immigrants Campaign, www.justiceforimmigrants.org, and learn how everyone can make a positive contribution to this critical debate for justice.
