While no Saint is inscribed in the Liturgical Calendar for this date, the Roman Martyrology today commemorates St. Alexander of Alexandria who sought to keep the Church safe from Arianism and who was one of the three hundred and eighteen Fathers who took part in the Council of Nicaca.
