Lent 2018

Monday of the Second Week in Lent

Read

Today is the feast day of St. Cyril of Jerusalem

Reflect

When we give alms, we can give money, our time, and/or our talents. We sacrifice our comfort for the sake of others. How have you viewed almsgiving during this penitential season? Has giving of your time, talent, or treasure brought about a change of heart?

Pray

St. Cyril of Jerusalem, honored today, was known for his “Catechetical Instructions.” Give thanks for the catechists in your community and all they do to educate children and adults alike.

Act

How familiar are you with the Catechism of the Catholic Church? Consider reading sections of the United States Catholic Catechism for Adults online as part of your Lenten practice every day. The book can also be purchased at the USCCB Store.
