Mass in Time of Pandemic
The Church prays to the Lord in difficult times
Responding to the spiritual needs of the clergy and the faithful during the scourge of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Holy See's Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments provided the text of a special Mass, entitled "In Time of Pandemic." It was available for use by bishops and priests for the duration of the crisis, which ended in the United States in May 2023. The formulary and readings are provided here for historical purposes only.
