- About USCCB
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops is one of 43 Churches and Christian organizations that belong to Christian Churches Together (CCT). CCT in the USA was developed as a forum in which Christian Churches could form new relationships with other Churches. Founded in September 2001 and officially announced in April 2002, CCT-USA brings together a diverse group of Christian Churches in order that "all who believe will be one with God and one another, so that the world may believe in Him as Lord and Savior."
CCT meets annually to pray and worship together, to build relationships of trust, and to discern challenges that need to be addressed in society in order to strengthen the collective Christian witness to the world. Fr. Ron Roberson staffs this dialogue on behalf of the Secretariat.
News from the February meeting: The 2014 CCT meeting in Newark, New Jersey, centered on mass incarceration. Out of this, the full CCT membership produced a statement that was made public at the conclusion of the meeting. Read the 'Statement on Mass Incarceration on the CCT web site.
