World Meeting of Families 2018

The World Meeting of Families will take place on August 22-26, 2018 in Dublin, Ireland. This is the first World Meeting of Families since the release of Amoris Laetitia, the 2016 apostolic exhortation by Pope Francis which is the inspiration for the theme and content of the WMOF. While not yet confirmed, the Holy Father hopes to be present at some point during the Meeting. Registration is now available through the WMOF website.

There will be four main elements of the Meeting:

  • A pre-catechesis on the theme, "The Gospel of the Family: Joy for the World"
  • A Theological Pastoral Congress from August 22 through August
  • A celebration of the Feast of Families on Saturday, August 25
  • A closing Solemn Mass on Sunday, August 26

For more details of the agenda and information on registration, please visit the official website of the World Meeting of Families. The full WMOF catechesis, "The Joy of Love: Six-Session Parish Conversation," is now available online. More information will be added to this page when it becomes available.
