Registration and Visa Information

Registration Information

Registration for World Youth Day Krakow 2016 is now open!

Standard registration can only be done through the official Krakow 2016 site.  Registration for bishops can only be completed through the USCCB, by emailing for more information.

Before beginning standard registration for your group or yourself, it might be helpful to consider these tips, as this registration is slightly different than previous years:

  • There are two phases of registration that one must complete, along with payment for pilgrim packages, in order to be considered fully registered.
  • Phase one asks for basic information about the group. It will ask for group size (which can be anywhere from 1-5,000 people) and information of the two group leaders, such as passport numbers. Please note that the group size does not have to be exact and this group is called your "macro-group"
  • Phase two begins after the information in phase one is cleared, which could take up to three days.  You will gain access to a special account that allows you to change information about your group throughout the registration process.
  • Phase two presents the option of creating "sub-groups", which are subdivisions of your macro-group that are grouped by pilgrim package preference(various food and housing accommodations), language of catechesis, and travel dates. This is useful if some people in your group prefer different packages than others, or will be arriving at different times, because it allows for flexibility in those areas.
  • Please note that the committee will try to place sub-groups of the same macro-group in close proximity to each other, but because of the variability in options, this cannot be guaranteed.
  • If everyone in your macro-group prefers the same package, still complete phase 2, just insert the same information for everyone.
  • You may re-open registration through your account to change your information.
  • At the main registration site, phone numbers listed to call with any specific questions about registration.
