COMMITTEE ON BUDGET AND FINANCE

Do the diocesan and eparchial bishops accept the recommendation of the Committee on Budget and Finance for approval of a 3% increase in the diocesan assessment for 2021 to $12,473,425?


Results: Inconclusive

VOTE: Two-thirds of diocesan and eparchial bishops and their equivalents in law

COMMITTEE ON CONSECRATED LIFE AND VOCATIONS

Do the members of the USCCB approve the Program of Priestly Formation, 6th edition, for use in the dioceses of the United States?


Results: PASSED (226-Yes, 4-No, 3-Abstain)

VOTE: Two-thirds of Conference membership with subsequent recognitio from the Congregation for the Clergy.

COMMITTEE ON DIVINE WORSHIP

Do the Latin Church members of the USCCB approve the ICEL Gray Book translation of the Hymns of the Liturgy of the Hours for use in the diocese of the United States of America?


Results: PASSED (205-Yes, 5-No, 2-Abstain)

VOTE: Two-thirds of the Latin Church members with subsequent confirmation by the Congregation for Divine Worship and the discipline of the Sacraments

 


Action Item #6

COMMITTEE ON DIVINE WORSHIP

Do the Latin Church members of the USCCB approve the ICEL Gray Book translation of the Order for the Christian Initiation of Adults as the base text for a future edition of this rite for use in the diocese of the United States of America?


Results: PASSED (217-Yes, 3-No, 3-Abstain)

VOTE: Two-thirds of the Latin Church members with subsequent confirmation by the Congregation for Divine Worship and the discipline of the Sacraments

BISHOPS' WORKING GROUP ON FORMING CONSCIENCES FOR FAITHFUL CITIZENSHIP

1. Do the members of the USCCB approve the short letter to supplement Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship?


Results: PASSED (207-Yes, 24-No, 5-Abstain)

 

2. Do the members of the USCCB approve the video scripts for five short videos to supplement Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship?


Results: PASSED (227-Yes, 5-No, 4-Abstain)

COMMITTEE ON CULTURAL DIVERSITY IN THE CHURCH

Does the full body of bishops authorize the Committee on Cultural Diversity in the Church's Subcommittee on Hispanic Affairs to lead the process of developing a new formal statement and comprehensive vision for Hispanic/Latino ministry in response to the V Encuentro process, to be developed and approved by the full body of bishops during the next USCCB strategic planning cycle, 2021-2024?


Results: PASSED (220-Yes, 7-No, 2-Abstain)

Do the bishops of the United States support the request of Cardinal Philipe Barbarin of Lyon asking the Holy Father to name Saint Irenaeus a Doctor of the Church?
