In June 2013, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Committee on Clergy, Consecrated Life & Vocations held a conference for teachers of homiletics entitled "Preaching the Mystery of Faith" at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN.
The objectives of the confererence were:
To implement the bishops’ latest document on preaching Preaching the Mystery of Faith: the Sunday Homily in seminaries, deacon formation programs, and the ongoing formation of clergy.
To provide professional development for teachers of homiletics through presentations by leading scholars and preachers.
To improve techniques for teaching homiletics.
We are pleased to share some of the presentations from the conference here on our Homiletics website.
