Healing and Hope

"Healing and Hope" is a new component of the USCCB's National Catholic Mental Health Campaign focused on amplifying local engagement on mental health around the United States.

Healing and Hope offers three elements to engage digitally, in person, and in our churches:

  • A revitalized digital campaign offers reflections by bishops on the USCCB’s social media platforms that invite all people into deeper conversation on the realities and stigmas of mental health. Follow USCCB on Facebook, Instagram, and X for the latest reflections.
  • State conferences on mental health provide an opportunity for dioceses/eparchies and local groups to gather bishops, clergy, religious, and lay people for dialogue on local mental health realities. View this resource for more information on how to organize a mental health conference.
  • Mental Health Sunday takes place each year on the Sunday following World Mental Health Day. Catholics are invited to pause and reflect on healing and hope around mental health in their local parish community. Resources are available for parishes to participate in Mental Health Sunday.
