Pope Francis Accepts Resignation of Auxiliary Bishop Neil Tiedemann, C.P.
Pope Francis has accepted the resignation of the Most Reverend Neil E. Tiedemann, C.P., 75, from the Office of Auxiliary Bishop of Brooklyn.
The USCCB's Office of Public Affairs regrets the error in the initial announcement, which gave the incorrect date for the announcement. The release below has been amended:
WASHINGTON - Pope Francis has accepted the resignation of the Most Reverend Neil E. Tiedemann, C.P., 75, from the Office of Auxiliary Bishop of Brooklyn.
The resignation was publicized in Washington on June 30, 2023, by Archbishop Christophe Pierre, apostolic nuncio to the United States.
