The liturgical season ofChristmas begins with the vigil Mass on Christmas Eve and concludes on the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord (January 13th this year). During this season, we celebrate the birth of Christ into our world and into our hearts and reflect on the gift of salvation that is born with him . . . including the fact that he was born to die for us, so that we might have life in him.
Take some extra time with this passage today and remember the true spirit of Christmas. "Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. . . and of his kingdom there will be no end." (Luke 1:31-33)
