WASHINGTON--The presidents of the major Catholic, Protestant and Jewish religious organizations in the United States will appear together as keynote speakers at the 8th National Workshop on Christian-Jewish Relations October 29-November 1 in St. Louis.

Addressing the workshop keynote theme, "Cooperation and Coalition Building in a Pluralistic Society," the speakers will be Bishop James w. Malone of Youngstown, President of the National Conference of Catholic Bishops (NCCB); Rabbi Mordecai Waxman, President of the Synagogue Council of America (SCA); and Rev. Philip Cousin, President of the National Council of Churches of Christ in the U.S.A. (NCC). The three officials will speak at the workshop's opening session October 29.

It will be the first time the three leaders have appeared before the same forum to address their common concern for fostering new understandings between the Christian and Jewish communities.
