Report: Promotion and Formation of the Lay Faithful: Best Practices (2018)

USCCB Staff from the Secretariats of Catholic Education and of Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth were part of an invited first-of-its-kind gathering of bishops and lay people from 42 different countries who are leaders in the area of forming the laity for living the faith in the world and for ministry in the life of the Church and the world. This is the summary report of the gathering submitted to the Committees on Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth, Catholic Education, Evangelization & Catechesis and the Subcommittee on Certification for Ecclesial Ministry and Service.
