USCCB National Leadership Forum on Ministry with Young Adults
The Future of Young Adult Ministry in the United States
Where We've Been, Where We Are, and Where We're Going
During this two day event, we looked at the future of ministry with young adults in the United States through the lens of Sons and Daughters of the Light, the pastoral plan on young adult Catholics (written by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in 1996) that celebrates its twentieth anniversary in 2016. The National Leadership Forum looked to past growth, assessed the current reality of the ministry, and discussed considerations moving forward. The presenters included current and veteran leaders in young adult ministry, including members of the advisory team for Sons and Daughters of the Light.
The National Leadership Forum on Ministry with Young Adults, facilitated by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops Secretariat of Laity Marriage, Family Life and Youth in collaboration with the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry at the 2016 biennial National Conference on Catholic Youth Ministry was held from Wednesday to Thursday, November 30th to December 1st at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California. The following materials include the videos of the Forum presentations, as well as supplemental documentation provided for participants, including the White Paper Submissions.
