Youth and Young Adult Programs

CCHD's investment in youth and young adults in their 20s and 30s calls forth new leadership in the struggle against the cycle of poverty in the United States, and encourages young Catholics to live out their faith through participation in their communities.

Resources

These resources and activities provide ways to incorporate justice education, including Scripture and Catholic Social Teaching, with your existing curriculum.

Multi-Media Youth Arts Contest

The cycle of poverty in the United States can be broken... and you can do something to help. First, learn about CCHD and its mission to address poverty in the United States by empowering low-income people to work for change. Then, use your artistic talent to illustrate for others how people living in poverty are working together with their churches and communities to create lasting, long-term solutions.

Contact your CCHD diocesan director [External]: https://www.usccb.org/cchd/director.shtml to find out if the diocese is participating in the contest and surf our website to learn more about CCHD [External]: https://www.usccb.org/cchd/index.shtml and its approach to eliminating poverty in the United States. The deadline for national entries is March 31.
