Promotion & Defense of Marriage

The Catholic Church promotes and defends the institution of marriage as the union of one man and one woman. As of 2015, we do so in a Post-Obergefell context.

What does the Church have to say about the theory or ideology of "gender", separate from sexual difference? This teaching resource regarding gender and sexuality might help, along with the Congregation for Catholic Education's 2019 letter, "Male and Female He Created Them: towards a path of dialogue on the question of gender theory in education".
