Annual Report
Catholic Relief Services Collection (CRSC)
The 2024 Annual Report of The Catholic Relief Services Collection (CRSC), administered by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), underscores the collection's vital role in responding to Jesus' call to aid the vulnerable worldwide and domestically. With revenues exceeding $17.5 million from national contributions and investments, the CRSC distributed over $13.4 million in grants to support Catholic Relief Services (CRS) in disaster recovery and self-sufficiency programs, such as rebuilding earthquake-resistant homes and fostering chicken farming in Nepal; the Catholic Legal Immigration Network Inc. (CLINIC) in providing legal aid to immigrants, including a successful appeal for a Cuban human rights activist; USCCB's Migration and Refugee Services in advocating for the Religious Worker Visa Program to sustain immigrant clergy in underserved dioceses; and Stella Maris in offering pastoral care to seafarers, notably during the 2024 Baltimore bridge collapse. Chaired by Bishop Daniel H. Mueggenborg of Reno, this initiative addresses emergencies, immigration challenges, and maritime needs, promoting dignity, integration, and hope while encouraging ongoing donations to extend God's love to strangers and the poor.
