To Whom It May Concern:
Mr. Sanford Katz, an attorney representing the Emergency Committee to Defend Latin American Filmakers, has been asked by that Committee to investigate the disappearance in Buenos Aires of Raymundo Gleyzer.
The disappearance of Mr. Gleyzer and other grave irregularities that have occurred in Argentina recently are deeply troubling to many here in the United States. The abduction and brutal murder of the distinguished Uruguayan law-makers Zelmar Michelini and Hector Gutierrez-Ruiz have shocked the sensibilities of people around the world.
I most earnestly hope that Mr. Gleyzer is not in similar danger and would be grateful for every courtesy and help you may be able to extend to Mr. Katz.
