   Delivera homily on the theme "Be Not Afraid," tying
   it together with respect for each person and his
   or her life.

   Encourage parishioners to take home copies of
   the image, make a related resolution for the week,
   and post the image somewhere in their home to
   remind them of their resolution.

 

 

Brochures

RLP 2017Incorporate points from the brochures into homilies throughout the year, and coordinate with parish staff to make bulletin inserts of the relevant article or other information available for parishioners at that time.

For example, in a homily on following Jesus, explain that our identity as Christians helps us make decisions in every area of our lives, including how we walk with others who may be struggling to embrace God's gift of life. Use examples from "How to Build a Culture of Life."

Or, in a homily on love for neighbor, refer to "What to Do When a Friend is Considering Abortion" or other articles that offer simple, concrete suggestions for putting love in action.

Use the bulletin insert versions of the relevant article in that week's bulletin, and refer to it in the homily or announcements.


Feature a new brochure each month in the literature rack. The week the new article is available, alert the congregation in the pulpit announcements, and incorporate it into the weekly homily or bulletin reflection from the pastor.
