This resource is designed to help dioceses meet the Standards for Diocesan NFP Ministry. The implementation process enables the evaluation of existing diocesan NFP ministry and the development and strengthening of diocesan NFP ministry.
The implementation process is similar to an accreditation process. The bishops' Commission on Certification and Accreditation states that "to be accredited according to standards means that a program is judged to have appropriate policies, procedures, and guidelines; to meet the goals and objectives of the curriculum and to have the resources for its mission."
