Companion to the Handbook on the Catechetical Accompaniment Process
A resource developed by the Committee on Evangelization and Catechesis and the Subcommittee on the Catechism to assist diocesan bishops and catechetical leaders in how to make use of the Handbook on the Catechetical Accompaniment Process.
In response to requests from diocesan directors, the Committee on Evangelization and Catechesis and the Subcommittee on the Catechism have produced a Companion to the Handbook on the Catechetical Accompaniment Process: A Diocesan Guide for an Evangelizing Catechesis. The Companion assists diocesan leaders in understanding the purpose and goals of the catechetical accompaniment process, and how the process is meant to assist dioceses in promoting evangelizing catechesis.
The resource is being made available in English and in Spanish and will be available for purchase later this spring.
A preprint edition is now available for download:
The Secretariat will host a Zoom webinar on Tuesday, March 10, from 1 to 2 pm EST, introducing this text and answering questions that diocesan leaders might have. This webinar is open to anyone who has an interest in using the Companion, but is especially meant for those who help determine catechetical norms for their diocese.
